In 1988, he moved to Washington DC to work as a project architect for the Marriott Corporation and undertook a variety of large hotel renovation projects.
Four years later, he returned to Austin and joined Croslin and Associates where he remained for the next 10 years. There he completed seven projects for the postal service and undertook the renovations to the Crown Plaza Hotel and the Austin Sheraton Hotel Accessibility upgrade and Executive Meeting Center. During this time he did a variety of projects including the A&M Kingsville Child Development Center. Throughout his career, Clark has concentrated on building sustainably with readily available materials. As a result, he rethinks the ordinary and creatively adapts conventional building practices to better serve his Clients.
